Spiritual Milk Retreat Part 1

Heh.A bink of eye, it was wednesday! Mid-week again. This time there's the Spiritual Milk Retreat for the P6s. They're to start at 9am and there again i was late. All thanks to my mom to ask me to eat my full packet of bee hoon and half a packet of guo tiao from my brother. So FULL!! So went there and help aunty cindy and aunty lynda in making the refreshments for the kids later during the break. Zhirong then came along and helped us too. Then came along Samson and Siew Ho.what a ypm crowd.~~

Nothing much till lunch time where we got packet lunch boxes for the kids. It was only then i realised how kids are so well comfort. So many of them don't know how to eat vegetables. Gosh~ so wasteful. but what can i do? Look at the waste yet i can't eat.. (too full from my hearty breakfast) Kids are real..spoilt these days? Vegetables are one of the basic dietery needs. Pray that one day they'll learn how to eat them then..

Ok as it was raining outside..so we started off by playing some team bonding again.. like POALR BEAR!!! dog and bone..During the game, for one moment, i thought i lost my voice. Thank GOD it was just temporary. Can you imagine how am i to face the kids if i lost my voice in the early part of the retreat!? hehe. So when the weather became clear, Zhirong, Siew Ho & Me brought them to the beach to cycle, to walk along the beach & play some ball games. As we had to wait for Aunty Cindy & Uncle william to come, i found out that again that kids nowadays are quite rich. They told me that they wanted to buy a drink and in the end i saw them eating a meal. (feeling heart-broken $$)

And so we went cycling.. it was way cool. got a big group to handle. So got to cycle fast then slow then chase the front few. Visited Bedok jetty and stopped by Changi Sailing Club Tree Vines where Zhirong shared with them about the Branch & Vines. Tried swing on the vines. It was fun, feels like Tarzan but downside, it was sticky.. Ok after that led them back to RVP. And slowly we make our way back to chruch ready for BBQ. another BBQ>!? haha yes, while i wanted to help with the prep, Zhirong took my share of starting a fire followed by the Pri 6 1st session girls do the cooking..In the end i got nothing to do..haha...oh Jesslyn & Moses are also there. Played with the rest of them Captain's ball. haha Charris, Eunice & Wai Chung always say i bully them. why? becos even when i seat on the chair.. the ball just come in path of my hands or too tall for them to pass to their catcher.. Kor Kor Isaac? A big bully then.. haha but ultimately everyone did have fun. Managed to get most of the quiet ones to play too but i left out a group of girls from the 1st session who isolated themselves. Wanted to go join their conservation but that means i'll ignore the majority so no other option got to leave them there for a while; hopefully later & tml they'll feel more attached to the whole..

After BBQ, we had a simple P&W at galilee hall. Don't know whether it was just me or my actions but everyone is amazed or just laughing when we do the actions for 'ONE WAY'. Even Zhirong & Jesslyn shaked their heads at the back.. But the worship was good & simple. ' As the deer patheth' After that, we introduced the ypm camp to them and a short intro to ypm culture too. I was surprised by the response that at least 10 of them responded that they'll consider coming for the camp. We also got to pray for them too. It is definitely not easy to being a 12 yr boy or girl to mix with the rest of the older kor or jie. But the signs are really encouraging to me.

After that, we had some good game with cards. Again i don't understand but they just wanna thrash me...haha i say ok to every card game less stress~~ it was fun..played till 11pm before going over to the boys dorm to get them to sleep, then go down to help aunty cindy finish the food and clean and stack back the tables.. It was not easy to put them to bed, i can imagine later in Children's camp how hard it'll be to put them to ZZzz~~ ..

Once most of them were in lala land.. Zhirong and I had a good talk.. I find it interesting to know something more about him.. I never thought of her you know..haha what a color!! yeah so we talked till we're too tired and we just ZZZzz~~ too... nitey
