Singapore Zoological Garden~

Hurray!! Finally for the 1st time in say 11 years, I finally got a chance to step my foot into this scared land.. Haha the feeling was indescribable..

Ok went to AMK's garden Mac to have breakfast there before heading down to the Zoo.. Played the swing for a while before heading down to the Zoo..

Once we're there.. we headed down to the Gift shop and had a pick there.. before walking up the treetop trail.. we then head left for the Tapir, Babirusa and then to the White Tiger.. Hehe it was a magnificent view of the Tiger (it kept walking up and down.. haha).. the onto the Pygmy Hippo & the warhog.. Next up, is the Hopping in the Australian Outback where the Kangaroos are.. Hop & Hop and we're off to the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia; the home of the Hamadryas Baboon.. and the native tribes of Africa.. great pictures there too.. then we headed for the show at the Elephants of Asia called "Elephants At Work And Play Show" then we head down for the Penguin.. Next stop, the Children's World Animal Land where we catch a show called the "Animal Friends Show"

Over there, we went on to see the Sheep, Goat, Cow, Pig, And the Golden Pheasant with the Pony. There after, we had lunched at KFC (I juz realised that I was cheated of a green tea.. haha) then we head towards the Proboscis Monkey, through the Critters Longhouse and down to the White Tiger to catch the token feeding session.. I must say I am very impressed by the way how the Tiger catch its meat.. 6/6 eye sight into its mouth.. direct hit.. At 2.30, is the feeding of the Hippo..

Once that is done.. we haded for the Polar Bear, through the path which take us to the White Rhino, Eland, Nyala, Giraffe, the Tropical Crops Plantation (where you get exposed to the various kind of plants growing) and to the Orchid Garden.. Once that is done, we had to the SPH Conservation Centre then through the Fragile Forest (with plenty of butterfly in it) and to the Biodome, past the Komodo Dragon and the Reptile Garden (speaking of this, I think I missed the King Cobra) Down to the Giant Tortoise (whose life span is more than 150 yrs!!) down to the Cat Country - Jaguars.. So question how is the Jaguars diff from the leopards? The answer is Jaguar's' have a black spot in the centre of its patch whereas the leopards do not have.. Haha.. We catch the token feeding at 4pm.. and the feeding of Proboscis Monkey at 4.15pm and then head down to the African Lion, Zebra, (missed the Cheetah), Gnu and back to the Orang Utans and down to the polar bear feeding..

Another interesting fact is that Polar Bears' milk contains 48% fat!! haha so if u wanna grow fat you know what to drink.. hehe.. after that we headed down to the "Splash Safari Show" at 5pm where they introduced the Penguin, Sealion and Manatee.. After that, we headed for the Guanaco, Maned Wolf, the Camel and the Nilghai.. Got ourselves at the dead end before taking the path back to see the Gibbon Flamingo and the Otter (oh, they are so so cute!! Kawai~~) Took the Tiger Trek which turned out to be nothing more than a path to the White Tiger and then we headed for the exit out of the Zoo..

After a whole day of effort.. of course, need to reward ourselves with a fantastic ambiance at AMK's Ichiban Sushi.. we managed to get the centre of the 3 seats facing the Junction.. that it was cool!! So dinner was there before went a bit of walking around the Hub, before sending home.. Met her mom too.. Wave and say goodbye.. Haha..

So at the end of the long long day, I must really thank God.. 1st for the perfect fine weather He had given us (heard else where had rained) .. 2nd for our safety.. 3rd for our healthy.. 4th for the opportunity He has given to us to enjoy, relax and have fun.. And lastly for a well-deserved break needed to re-charge.. This day will definitely go into my books as one of the most memorable day as I fulfill my childhood dream of entering the Zoo with my loved ones..

Watch this space for more details.. Till next time, tata.. I had fun and laughter (crazy at times too)
