YPM Camp 2009~

Well, as I am working.. I only went for the night services.. Interestingly, there's one topic I wanna share with you guys.. And that is the topic on "What Should I Do If I Really Like That Guy/Girl!?"

First, you should put yourself to a test.. Go out in a group.. Get to know what this person is like.. Is this person someone who flirts around or rather caring... The person may look nice from far but that does not mean that he/she is far from nice.. Get to know about his/her family too.. how he/she treats sister/brothers etc..

That is the introduction, next is about Faithfulness Rules.. once you're in a relationship, it is all about faithfulness to your counterpart.. Just like in Ruth 1:16 says "Don't urge me to leave you or turn back from you. Where you go I go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." This is the sustainability all about.. You should ask yourself first whether are you really ready to enter a life long relationship? If yes, proceed on to the next section.. if not, wait and pray about it..

Secondly, be Thankful.. for God will never short change You... just like in Ruth 2:20 where Naomi asked the Lord to bless Boaz because he has not stopped showing his kindness to the living and the dead.. When you show your love/care/kindness.. God sees them and He will never forget you..

Thirdly, the Agreement.. We ought to give careful consideration to the issues of relationship.. In order words; "Don't be shallow".. Ask ourselves why do we want to enter into a relationship.. Is it because we are ready or just because others are inside so you want to.. remember being into one is about being faithful, you can only love one.. and that leads us to the next question..

Responsibility..  In Ruth 4:4 " I though I should.... But if you will not, tell me.. For no one has thr right to do it except you and I am next in line." Being in a relationship is not just about being romantic.. It is more about the Rights and the Likes... what you should do against how you should do.. It is able being able to take "NO" for an answer.. we are to be responsible for our actions..

Lastly, Security.. We must be ready for committment if you want to enter a relatioship.. the Guy must love the girl all the days of his life.. and the Girl must submit to the guy all the days of her life..

1 last thing to add on is to remember that All GOOD relationships are founded on good committments.. Don't rush into one when you are not ready.. Pray to God and ask God about it and He will reveal the time when you are ready to commit and enter a relationship with another..

Remember Faithfulness rules~

Annual Children Camp 2009~

Well for the very 1st time since 2005, I helped out in the Children's Camp.. and of all places, it was at my former primary school.. it does bring back memory of those days when we are young..

Anyway, I was being assigned to this group called Daram~~ it means Love.. well that's our mission.. Agape is the theme for this year's camp.. And so my group consist of boys and girls aged 9-12.. with the grp of boys; colin, bradley, ryan, christopher, tingwei, and the grp of girls; ada, nicole, cheryl, isabelle.. with my co-teachers; Gillian and Joel from FCBC.. yeah it was fun yet short camp..

The usual camp is 4 days 3 nights long, but this time they only put it as 3 days 2 nights.. for myself, i only attended from day 2.. and we started the day by doing area cleaning till about 10plus then we had service at 11.. went for lunch before some afternoon nap.. we had games in the hot afternoon where we had some telematches, quizes, catching of "mushroom" and "flower" and zero-point.. we missed out on the catching of balloons... and lastly a game on Ba Shi Bashi~

As for the night, service as usual then I went home for the night before coming tml morning for morning devotion.. Topic is on how to show love to your extended family members.. then we had service and lunch before we head down to Dakota St Luke's Elderly Care centre.. it was raining heavily then.. but when we all started to pray.. slowly the rain stopped.. it how amazing God answer our prayers.. especially His little ones.. so yeah we had a performance for the elderly then we head back to church where we dismissed after dinner.. it was sa good camp.. Refreshing :)

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009 IV~

Ok after all the pictures, now its time to desribe the story.. well the run was good.. I would gladly say thanks to GOD for such a perfect fine cloudy weather on the very morning..

We woke up at 4.30am.. hehe.. 1st time woke up so "early" for the run.. usually its like 3.30 instead.. then quickly change up, have some light breadfast then warm up.. Next, we then head towards the Start Point near Fullerton Hotel where we gun off at around 5.45am..

As per our intital plan, we ran for the 1st 7km in the time of about 49mins.. then we walked for 2km before we ran for another 5km then we walked for 2km then run till the 21km mark in a time approximately 3 hours.. Our running speed was rather comfortable at approximately 8km/h.. then our walk speed is about 6km/h.. then at ECP, we walked and ran along all the way till about 30km mark in the process I met my cousin, Adrian who is also running with his girlfriend, Li xing as well as my IRAS' colleague, Donovan..

So throughout the run, we are inspired by the 100plus drinking station where we had our filled.. and also the 1.5 litres of Ice Mountain Drinking Water where I carried it along with me from 9km till about 17km.. Managed to grab 2 packs of Power Gel which Jasmine disliked it.. $3 a pack leh.. then grab some bananas along the way and yes.. we ran and eventually overcome it with a rather respectable timing..

10km ----  1:18:56
21km ----  2:58:32
30km ----  4:28:25
32.5km --- 4:51:45
Grand Final Finishing Time for 42.195km ---- 6:34:07

Congrats to Jasmine for completing her 1st Marathon.. well, I am very proud and happy for her.. thank her for making this marathon a wonderful session and unforgetable memorable time we spent over the weekend together.. Love it.. Lastly, thank GOD for making all these possible with your undying love for us.. We just wanna say thank YOU from the bottom of our hearts..

Race Preparation III~

2 more days and counting..

Yes, Esplanade here we come!! The long awaited day is coming.. And we did our final preparation a 10km run around IRAS within a 1hr 25mins.. Wish us luck, we need all the help and support we can find.. aye~

Do pray for Jasmine as she got back her last semester's results.. It is a very tricky situation as she was not able to maintain her GPA due to one of her 4 modules achieved only CR.. so now her GPA stands at 2.958.. I dunno whether this will qualify her to get her Degree with Distinction.. but I am sure there is always one person whom we can trust and stand upon.. and that is God, our father :)

Let's join our hands and pray.. Sometimes we need to learn how to ask God for the desire of our hearts.. Dare to ask and He will give it but only according to His wonderful plan He has for you in your lives..  Have faith and lose the HOPE.. He just wants you to learn how to draw closer to Him.. and slowly in His time, He will reveal His plan to you.. Plans to prosper and give you hope..

Agape~ Peace be with You, my fellow brothers and sisters..

We will complete it, by faith, by God's strength in whom we can TRUST.. believe with me, even though we maybe torn apart but our feelings will unite us.. yeah! keep up the faith~

TPSD's Annual Party 2009~

Sad thing aside.. now for the Happy moments.. I am so thankful that the event is finally over.. After all the hardwork on planning, to the rehearsals, to the actual programs execution.. IT's finally over :) whew~ a big relief off my shoulder..

The event started with Welcome of DC, James to the audit.. then by a short video clip on silent your hp (Chicken Little), then our MC, Hadi comes up on stage to present the Somebody dancers.. well it was a good performance by the ladies in black.. then after that we had a round of BINGO followed by a skit performance by a team of us.. then the EXSAwards followed by the Lucky Draws and a special memo for Kam Toh who is going to retire shortly after next week..

In short, it all went well and everyone enjoyed it.. great job well done.. Thank God for the successful, I am sure all of my fellow committeess would agree that it is teamwork and sheer determination that gets us through this event and build a hype for the next upcoming committee.. Time to take a bow, IsAaC :D yeah!
